Stupid Cupid...

Sometimes I wonder if there is any sense in falling in love.  But the frenzy of emotions that follows one’s attachment to someone’s charms, does not consider such frivolities.  The downward spiral that subsequently ensues, takes one to the deepest levels of despair, desolation, and frustration.  Love is one emotion that brings intense joy and deep sorrow almost at the same time.  Love can raise and crush one’s spirit all at once.  Love does not let one live or die; instead it keeps one hanging in between, hoping that the object of one’s love will miraculously give in and reciprocate.  Wishful thinking, but certainly the only ray of hope for the one in love.  Hope is the oldest fallacy harbored by the one in love.  Injured pride does not even remotely affect the one in love.  Love is all about the heart and the soul and the different ways one can make someone happy and always smiling, even at the expense of one’s mental, emotional, and physical destruction.
